In the heart of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), a nursing mother defied societal norms and joined the “End Bad Governance in Nigeria” protest.
With her newborn cradled in her arms, she stood in solidarity with protesters demanding a better future for her child.
She joined other protesters at Eagle Square in Abuja.
According to the woman whose identity was not revealed, her husband was killed by bandits in Katsina State and this spurred her to participate in the protest.
She added that police are shooting teargas at protesters gathered at Eagle Square and she questioned if they wanted to kill her baby.
“I came to protest the hardship in Nigeria and the police are shooting tear gas at us. Do they also want to kill my baby? People cannot eat. Things are hard,” she said, according to TheCable.
