A remarkable Nigerian girl has garnered widespread praise for her exceptional performance in the recent Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Despite facing significant adversity, including an unplanned pregnancy and subsequent abandonment by her family, the young woman overcame numerous obstacles to achieve an impressive aggregate score of over 200 marks.
Her journey to success began when she was forced to drop out of school due to her pregnancy. Determined to turn her life around, she found employment at a pure water factory, working night shifts.
Undeterred by her challenging work schedule, the girl enrolled in a UTME preparation program, attending classes in the mornings despite her nightly work hours. Additionally, she participated in CBT training sessions with unwavering determination.
Her efforts paid off when she received an aggregate score of 210 in the examination. A man who identified himself as @winexviv on social media has pledged to support her in her pursuit of higher education.
He wrote:
“We had this young little girl who got pregnant out of wedlock in my village. Her family abandoned and her formal education was terminated. She started working in a pure water factory. Her shift is usually at night. When she heard about our JAMB prep program she decided to give education another shot.
“She had to be joining the lessons from work every morning and returning back to work every evening. On СВТ days she does the same thing. She took this JAMB exam and scored 210. Her determination to make amends are errors is second to none. We will ensure she gets into school.” CONTINUE READING
