Russian Plant Making Fighter Jet Fuel Attacked 620 Miles From Ukraine

Ukrainian drones attacked a Russian plant in the Tver region that reportedly produces aviation fuel, according to local Telegram channels.

The Redkinsky Research Plant, located about 620 miles from the front line in Ukraine, was targeted in the early hours of Thursday, several Russian Telegram channels reported, publishing footage of the attack.

The plant was previously struck by Ukrainian drones in September 2023. At the time, Ukraine’s Military Intelligence Directorate (HUR) claimed the chemical enterprise produces decalin, an aviation fuel additive.

Four drones attacked the plant, damaging its pipeline, roof and a workshop building, independent Russian outlet ASTRA reported on Thursday, publishing videos that purportedly showed the moment of the attack. The clips show a cloud of smoke rising into the air.

An attack on the plant was also reported by Russian independent news outlet SOTA.

“Eyewitnesses report a drone attack on the Redkinsky Experimental Plant in the Tver region,” SOTA said. “The enterprise has been attacked by drones more than once since the beginning of the war.”
