Sociopolitical analyst Reno Omokri predicts that the North and South of Nigeria will continue to dominate political power due to their unity and humility.
In a recent post, Omokri argued that these regions’ solidarity and willingness to compromise have enabled them to maintain control. He believes that other regions must emulate these qualities to challenge their dominance.
“Until Nigeria remains a united country, Northern and Southwestern Nigeria will continue to control political power like a tennis ball,” Omokri stated. “They will pass it back and forth, each ruling for eight years.”
He added that only the death of an incumbent president can temporarily disrupt this pattern, but elections will quickly restore the balance.
Omokri emphasized the importance of balancing unity with humility. “Unity without humility leads to superiority, which destroys political power. Humility without unity leads to internal wrangling, which causes political instability,” he explained.
He noted that the North and Southwest have mastered this balance, allowing them to retain power in a diverse nation like Nigeria. CONTINUE READING
