CP Abaniwonda Olufemi, on behalf of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, presented cheques totaling 47,827,529 Naira to the families of 22 deceased officers. These cheques were distributed on April 24, 2024, as part of the IGP Family Welfare Scheme, Group Life Assurance, and Group Personal Accident Insurance Schemes.
CP Abaniwonda emphasized that the welfare of both serving and deceased officers is a top priority for the IGP, and that these cheques were presented on his behalf. He acknowledged the gesture as a valuable support for the families, reminding them that the Force remembers the sacrifices of their loved ones.
