The Ogun State Police Command has launched an investigation into the death of a landlord named Apeh Benjamin. This followed a heated argument with his tenant, Emmanuel, in Aribabu village, Sotubo, Ogun State. The dispute arose over Emmanuel’s unpaid rent, during which he allegedly threatened to kill the landlord.
According to the state command’s spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, the incident occurred at about 6:30 am on Sunday when the landlord suddenly slumped and died.
Odutola confirmed, “One Apeh Benjamin of Aribabu village, Sotubo, Ogun State, a landlord, slumped and died at about 0630hrs on the 2nd of June, after a heated argument with Emmanuel, his tenant, who threatened to kill him over unpaid rent.”
She assured that an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of death, adding, “Investigation is on.”
