Former PDP Presidential Aspirant from Abia, Chief Cosmos Ndukwe, Announces Resignation
Chief Cosmos Ndukwe, a prominent politician from Abia State, has announced his resignation from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). The announcement was made through a resignation letter posted on Ndukwe’s official Facebook page on Monday.
Ndukwe, a former Councillor, Deputy Local Government Chairman, Chief of Staff to the Governor of Abia State, and Deputy Speaker of the Abia 6th House of Assembly, had also aspired for the presidency under the PDP umbrella.
In his resignation letter, Ndukwe stated that his decision was based on “personal reasons and reflection on [his] current commitments and aspirations.” He added, “After careful consideration, I have concluded that porting out of PDP is the best course of action for me now.”
Ndukwe did not specify in his letter whether he intended to join another political party or retire from politics. He expressed gratitude to the Abia State PDP for their support and acknowledged the party’s role in his political journey. CONTINUE READING
