An Iranian man who escaped to the safety of Australia is planning a bold mission to return home and overthrow the government.
Perth engineer Hashem Piltan has spent decades planning his return to Iran armed with a new constitution meticulously created by himself.
Mr Piltan told Daily Mail Australia he is not afraid to die in Iran and has taken steps to ensure his planned uprising happens whether he be dead or alive.
Iran is currently on the cusp of entering full blown war with Israel after the Islamic Republic launched a drone and missile attack against it last week.
Iran claimed the attacks came in response to a drone strike at the beginning of April in Syria that left 12 Iranians, including two top generals, dead.
Israel responded on Friday AEST, conducting strikes on a target in the city of Isfahan.
Mr Piltan said he was committed to liberating the Iranian people from the ‘shackles of theocracy’ and help them achieve the democracy they have long sought.
‘I am happy to get killed … This regime has to go. I’m just making a journey. People will be able to say what they want to say,’ he said.
‘This regime is attacking other countries. They recently attacked neighbours with missiles … Iranian people say “We don’t want them. We don’t support them”.’
From the outside, Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei appears to have enjoyed renewed popularity on the back of Iran’s attacks on Israel.
Supporters carried placards of support for him onto the streets after the drone strikes.
But Mr Piltan claimed Iranians by large are opposed to war.
‘If a big portion of Iranians come out and say “we don’t want war. We don’t want this regime” then any governments around the world that decide to keep connections with this regime, they chose their friend,’ he said.
‘This regime is attacking other countries … you are supporting this regime. They are developing long-range missiles, they are developing nuclear bombs and they’re not going to blow up the Atlantic Ocean to make it more fun. You’re supporting this regime and Iranian people are saying they don’t want them.’
Mr Piltan said the power of the people united in peaceful protest would be enough to overthrow the regime.
‘Hold each other’s hand. The energy you make out of holding each other’s hand – 1000 people holding each other’s hand – no bullet can put them down. No bomb can ruin them. It is impossible,’ he said.
Mr Piltan believes the regime will collapse within 10 hours of his plans being distributed among the people.
‘If at the end of this 10 hours the regime did not, the top leaders did not go away, they’ve made a mistake,’ he said.
‘It is a mistake to stand in front of these people and try to kill them. It is going to be their bloodshed this time … I will get them out. Even if I’m killed.’
Mr Piltan intends to call on Iranians to use their vehicles as weapons of change, parking them in the streets and clogging the means of transportation.
‘Everyone to look at the quality of the cars they own, if they’re not happy then to leave the car on street diagonally in a way which blocks the traffic. The last car in the building parking must be parked on the ramp and block the foot path,’ he wrote in a dossier containing his 16 ‘strategies’.
While the plan is for a peaceful transition, Mr Piltan intends to prepare the people to fight.
‘Surrendering after shooting towards people has never been considered as a surrender. It’s now or never. NO MERCY. Remember that no one is permitted to act violently without seeing a violent action from opposite side,’ he wrote. CONTINUE READING
