In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Eseme Eyiboh, Akpabio dismisses the online publication claiming he suffers from amnesia as “falsehood at its peak.”
Eyiboh emphasizes that the Senate President enjoys excellent health and has never experienced any debilitating medical conditions. He highlights Akpabio’s distinguished public service record, including his roles as a commissioner, two-term governor, federal minister, and senator, where he has consistently exhibited clarity of mind.
Eyiboh condemns the publication as malicious and intended to tarnish Akpabio’s reputation and link him to corruption. He states that the Senate President has always conducted his affairs with integrity and decorum.
