The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has reiterated the paramount importance of Yoruba unity for the progress of the South-West Region. Speaking at the sixth Omoluabi Royal Icon Award, the revered monarch urged stakeholders to unite and empower talented individuals within the race.
“The unity of the Yoruba is non-negotiable,” said Oba Ogunwusi. “When we are not united, it hinders our progress.”
Moses Olafare, a representative of the monarch, emphasized the vital role of unity in Yoruba development. He noted that the Omoluabi award program has played a significant role in fostering unity and providing a platform for youth empowerment.
The President of the Yoruba Council Worldwide (YCW), Oladotun Hassan, condemned recent acts of vandalism and agitation by Yoruba Nation activists. He urged Yoruba groups to support President Bola Tinubu, a prominent Yoruba leader.
“We must focus on helping President Tinubu succeed rather than disrupting his administration,” said Hassan.
Hassan also advised Tinubu to engage local government chairmen in implementing his agenda to ensure its success. CONTINUE READING
