The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has announced that former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello is wanted for questioning in connection with alleged financial crimes amounting to N80 billion.
“The Commission hereby declares Yahaya Adoza Bello, former Governor of Kogi State, wanted for offences bordering on criminal conspiracy, embezzlement, and money laundering,” the EFCC stated.
The commission urged the public to assist in locating Bello’s whereabouts. “Anybody with information as to his whereabout should report immediately to the Commission or the nearest Police Station,” the EFCC said.
The EFCC’s declaration comes amid ongoing investigations into alleged financial irregularities during Bello’s tenure as governor of Kogi State. The commission has not yet released further details on the charges against him. CONTINUE READING
