Thugs haveĀ attacked Prince Amour Udemude, an investigative journalist in Delta State, and Matthew Ochei and Monday Osayande, reporters with The PUNCH Newspapers in Asaba.
According to Sahara reporters, the #EndBadGovernance demonstration was taking place at the well-known Inter-Bua roundabout in Asaba, Delta State when masked PDP thugs appeared out of nowhere and began intimidating protestors and media.
When the anti-protest thugs’ leader saw that Amour was filming the event, he swiftly grabbed him by his pants.
This led to more thugs joining in and physically abusing the investigative journalist, demanding that he turn over his phone.

Highly armed police officers from the Delta State Police Command in Asaba allegedly did nothing except watch on.Ā
As things were about to get out of hand, an Army official stepped in to save Amour and the other two journalists from the mayhem and led them out of the area.
The Delta State administration is reported to have made payments to several organizations, including student bodies, religious organizations, and youth organizations, to discourage them from taking part in the demonstration and to stop pro-protesters from agitating the state. Amour’s phone has not been successfully recovered from the thugs as of the time of this article.
