Social media user Eric Chimara has accused the All Progressive Congress (APC) of orchestrating an ongoing campaign of attacks against Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi.
In a statement on Monday, Chimara claimed that the APC’s relentless assault on Obi stems from their knowledge that he “actually won” the 2023 election. He alleges that the ruling party has access to “real results” that expose Obi’s victory.
Chimara questions why the APC is targeting Obi, who placed third in the official results, rather than the second-place finisher. He suggests that this strategy indicates that the APC is aware of Obi’s true electoral success.
The allegations come amidst ongoing criticism of Obi by individuals such as Daniel Bwala, former spokesperson for Atiku Abubakar’s presidential campaign, and Reno Omokri, former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan.
Chimara further alleges that the Lagos INEC officer, Mr. Agbaje, has withheld the “real results” that show the APC’s defeat by 1.5 million votes. He claims that the ruling party failed to secure even 25% of the vote in Lagos. CONTINUE READING
