With a heavy heart, actress Faithia Williams has announced the passing of her father. The 55-year-old shared the news in an Instagram post on Tuesday, accompanied by an image of a burning candle.
“I am deeply saddened to bid farewell to my beloved father,” she wrote. “May his gentle soul find eternal peace.”
Williams, born and raised in Lagos, hails from Delta State and was raised in a polygamous family. In 2016, she pursued her education at Olabisi Onabanjo University, studying filming.
Previously known as Faithia Balogun, Williams reverted to her maiden name, Williams, after her divorce from actor Saidi Balogun was finalized three years ago. Despite their separation, they have maintained a cordial relationship, occasionally appearing together at public events.
