BREAKING: Court Sacks Wike’s Top Ally As APC Chairman

A Rivers State High Court in Port Harcourt has nullified the dissolution of the Emeka Beke-led executive of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State.

The ruling, delivered by Justice Sika Aprioku on Monday afternoon, stated that the National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC overstepped its authority by dissolving the elected state executive led by Emeka Beke.

Justice Aprioku emphasized that the APC’s NWC does not possess the power to dissolve an elected state executive or establish a caretaker committee while the elected executive’s tenure is still active. As a result, the court dismissed the caretaker committee led by Chief Tony Okocha who is a top ally of the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike and reinstated the Beke-led executive.

Additionally, the court barred Tony Okocha and the members of the caretaker committee from continuing to act as the APC executives in Rivers State.
