The Labour Party’s presidential candidate , Peter Obi, has issued a public statement in response to the video that has gone viral, supposedly showing him addressing protesters in Abuja on Thursday.
Peter Obi has come clean about his current location in Onitsha, saying that he could not possibly be in both Abuja and Onitsha simultaneously. While in Onitsha, he has been closely following national news, he stressed once again. “In his Words” Since I am currently in Onitsha, it is impossible for me to have been in both Onitsha and Abuja at the same time.
As someone who has been in Onitsha keeping tabs on the situation, I must say that I am impressed by the demonstrators’ lack of violence, both in the Anambra area and across Nigeria. Their reasonable expectations ought to be addressed within the bounds of legality.
