Veteran Yoruba actor PA James advocates for polygyny, asserting its benefits for men. He believes that monogamy leads to suffering for men.
In an interview with Biola Adebayo on the Talk-To-B show (YouTube timestamp 37:47-39:03), PA James stated, “It is not necessary for a man to marry only one wife. Marrying multiple wives is advantageous for men.”
He claims that when a woman discovers her husband has another wife, her behavior changes: “She becomes more submissive and respectful because she knows she is not the only one.”
“Men with one wife are suffering because having multiple wives is the best decision for men.
“If a man has more than one wife, they will try all their best to do everything that pleases him because they will want to be his favorite.
“When one of them isn’t having good behavior, the other will want to take advantage so that they will win the man over.”
