No Opposition Will Want To Bring Down The Roof Of The Country Because They’re Also In The Country – Ali Ndume Spills

Senator Ali Ndume, Senate Chief Whip, has expressed concern about the Presidency’s response to the growing unrest among Nigerians.

In an interview with Arise News, Ndume revealed that he had contacted the Villa to inquire about their awareness of the situation. However, he was reportedly met with a dismissive response.

According to Ndume, the Presidency attributed the anger to the opposition, a claim he found alarming. He stressed that the opposition has no interest in destabilizing the country, as they are also part of the nation.

In his words;

“When I called people in the Villa and I sent a message out to them. Are you aware that people are very angry out there? Are you doing something about it? and the response is that it’s the work of the opposition. I said we’re finished. No opposition will want to bring down the roof of the country because they’re also in the country. So if the country collapse, is it going to collapse on the ruling or the governing party? No. So when people in power starts responding like that. Then I’m worried, I’m worried for the President, I’m worried for myself”.
