Five Killed As Bandits Open Fire On Villagers During A Meeting In Kaduna Community

Bandits attacked the Ewehko community under Maro Ward in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, killed five villagers and set motorcycles on fire. 

 

A resident, Benjamin Maro, said the deceased persons were attending a meeting when the bandits attacked them on Monday afternoon, June 17, 2024.

“Another tragic incident has occurred in our community today. In broad daylight, bandits launched a deadly assault on Ewehko, popularly known as Unguwar Paul, a village under Maro Ward at 2pm on Monday, and so far, the bodies of four men and one woman have been discovered. Search efforts are ongoing in the surrounding bushes for others who are still missing,” he narrated. 

 

Another resident, Reuben Maro, said houses were also torched during the attack.
