Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen of Napoli is poised to earn a substantial bonus if he scores against Udinese in today’s Serie A match.
Despite battling injuries earlier in the season, Osimhen has made 20 starts in the Italian league, contributing 14 goals and 2 assists. While his numbers have slightly declined compared to last season, Osimhen remains a key player for Napoli.
As per a report by Soccernet, Osimhen’s contract with Napoli includes a clause that entitles him to a bonus of €125,000 (approximately ₦187 million) for scoring against Udinese.
This incentive could prove to be crucial in Napoli’s quest to secure a Europa League or Europa Conference League qualification. The victory against Udinese is essential to achieve this goal, as the chance of qualifying for the Champions League has slipped away from Napoli.
