Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Chairman and CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), has expressed outrage over the tragic killing of Daniel Anjorin, a 14-year-old British-Nigerian, in a sword attack in North-East London.
According to police reports, Anjorin succumbed to stab wounds after being rushed to the hospital on Tuesday. He was the sole fatality in the incident, which also injured four others, including two police officers. The 36-year-old suspect was apprehended and subdued by officers using a taser in Thurlow Gardens.
In an Instagram post on Wednesday, Dabiri-Erewa mourned the loss of the young life and called for justice.
“Forever young and filled with potential. Rest in peace, Daniel Anjorin. Our hearts are heavy with the tragic passing of this bright 14-year-old soul from London,” she wrote.
