Aisha Yahaya, a 300-level student in Food and Science Technology at Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology in Wudil, Kano, was tragically discovered deceased in her off-campus apartment on April 22.
Yahaya had recently completed her first examination in the ongoing first-semester assessment and had retired to her room, where she was found unresponsive. The exact cause of her death remains unknown, but some fellow students speculate that exam stress may have been a contributing factor.
In a statement, the university confirmed the incident and expressed deep sorrow for the loss of their student. They offered prayers for the repose of her soul.
