Phone Snatcher Stabs Sales Girl In Yobe State (Photos)

The Yobe State Police Command has arrested Sani Musa, a phone snatcher accused of stabbing and robbing a 24-year-old salesgirl, Sheba Simon.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, Musa allegedly attacked Simon while she was returning home from work in Damaturu. He assaulted her with a jackknife and stole her cellphone.

“The Command Police Response Unit (Haba Maza), in a joint operation with the State Intelligent Department and C Divisional Police Headquarters, apprehended One Sani Musa, AKA ‘Regis Oga Soja,'” said DSP Dungus Abdulkarim, the command’s spokesperson.

“On April 30, 2024, at approximately 11:30 p.m., the suspect was arrested with the stolen cellphone, Itel A663LC / MTN Sim Card, and various charms. He confessed to the crime during interrogation.”

Commissioner of Police, CP Garba Ahmed, praised the swift and effective arrest. He urged officers to remain vigilant and make Yobe State an unsafe haven for criminals.

“The Commissioner also expressed gratitude to community members for their support in fighting crime and stressed the need for collective efforts to ensure the safety of all residents,” said Abdulkarim.
