APC Chieftain Obinna Atuonwu, Dies In Church

Chief Obinna Atuonwu, a prominent leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024, during a church service. He was 65 years old.

According to ABNTV, Chief Atuonwu attended a church service in Aba, the state’s commercial capital. While addressing the congregation, he collapsed suddenly.

His brother, Dr. Chiedozie Atuonu, recounted the tragic event. He received a call that his brother was critically ill and rushed to Aba from Umuahia. Upon arriving, he found his brother in a critical condition and immediately transported him to the hospital.

Unfortunately, Chief Atuonwu was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. His remains have been taken to the morgue.
