Isabella Idibia, the firstborn daughter of Nigerian music icon 2Baba and his wife Annie Idibia, has vehemently denounced the portrayal of her parents in the South African reality series ‘Young, Famous, and African.’
Throughout the show’s first and second seasons, Annie was depicted as a persistent wife tolerating an abusive marriage. 2Baba, in a shocking revelation, declared to other stars in the presence of his wife that “men are inherently inclined to cheat.”
In a social media video, Isabella expressed her outrage over the “deeply flawed” and “inaccurate” portrayal of her parents. She emphasized that the show’s narrative was far from the truth.
“I believe the way my parents were portrayed in ‘Young, Famous, and African’ was highly misleading,” Isabella stated. “When I attempted to defend them, I was dismissed as a child who couldn’t possibly understand the situation.”
“You cannot form an opinion based solely on social media,” she continued. “I have lived with my parents and witnessed their relationship firsthand. I cannot alter public perception, but the truth remains that what was shown on the show was not an accurate representation of my family.” CONTINUE READING
