Responding to a speech by Governor Alex Otti in the United States, former Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has dismissed allegations of financial misconduct as “fabrications woven by a spin doctor.”
Ikpeazu affirms his commitment to dignity and has avoided confrontations with the current administration. However, he emphasizes that clarifications have been made when necessary to correct misinformation.
Ikpeazu challenges Otti to disclose the auditing firm responsible for the forensic audit and release the report publicly. He points out that forensic audits are not conclusive evidence of guilt and should be made available for scrutiny.
Regarding the alleged missing airport, Ikpeazu denies building or claiming to have built one. He acknowledges that the idea of an airport was considered, but no construction was initiated. The state government had planned to invest 10 billion Naira in the project and had acquired land for the purpose. CONTINUE READING
