Unlike PDP’s 16-Year Tenure, Tinubu Made Naira World’s Best In Less Than A Year

In a statement issued in Abuja, Bayo Onanuga, Director of Media and Publicity for the Tinubu-led administration, refuted allegations made by the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

**Rejection of One-Party State Accusations:**

Onanuga asserted that unlike the PDP’s 16-year tenure, the Tinubu administration has proactively addressed national issues. He emphasized that the administration is implementing ambitious reforms to strengthen the economy.

**Economic Progress:**

According to Onanuga, the administration’s economic policies have yielded positive results. Contrary to PDP skepticism, the national currency has emerged as the world’s best performer, appreciating significantly against the dollar. He noted that the exchange rate has stabilized, bridging the gap between official and parallel markets.

**Improved Security:**

Onanuga dismissed PDP’s claims of increasing terrorism and banditry. He stated that security has improved, with fewer attacks and kidnappings reported. He highlighted the rescue of over a thousand kidnapped victims without government ransoms.

**Economic Team’s Performance:**

Onanuga commended the government’s economic team, stating that no rational administration would alter a successful formula. He emphasized their collaboration with private sector experts, state governors, and economic advisors.

**PDP’s Internal Issues:**

Onanuga advised the PDP to resolve its internal conflicts before blaming the Tinubu administration. He asserted that President Tinubu has no intention of establishing a one-party state.

**Ambitious Infrastructure Projects:**
