Nigeria Is A “Total Disgrace” And A “Laughing Stock” To International Community – Gen Danjuma

Retired General Theophilus Danjuma has condemned Nigeria’s deplorable condition, declaring it a “total disgrace” and a “laughing stock” to the international community.

Speaking at the annual Nwonyo Fishing and Cultural Festival in Taraba State, Danjuma lamented that Nigeria has become a “war front” and a “theatre of absurdities.” He expressed regret that the country’s insecurity and other vices have left a bitter taste in the minds of civilized societies.

The elder statesman emphasized the urgent need for Nigerians to address the rampant insecurity and other challenges plaguing the nation. He urged them to “put their house in order” and strive for peace and harmony.

“This festival is a testament to Taraba State’s rich cultural heritage, but it also serves as a reminder of the daunting challenges we face,” Danjuma said. “Let us renew our commitment to promoting unity and living together as one family.”

He stressed that Nigeria’s international reputation cannot be improved without addressing the internal turmoil. “We must make our roads safe, stop kidnapping people, and learn to live together as a country,” he said.

Taraba State Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas affirmed his government’s dedication to fostering justice and peace for the state’s development. He highlighted Taraba’s immense potential and called for showcasing it to the world.
